2022 Maruti Swift Features

The Indo-Japanese automaker is ready to roll out the new-generation Maruti Baleno on 23rd February 2022. The premium hatchback will receive a few cosmetic changes along with a bunch of new features. The second-generation Brezza is reported to arrive by April 2022. The compact SUV will come with improved styling, all-new interior and a new 6-speed automatic gearbox replacing the existing 4-speed unit. It will also have more safety fitments on-board. The new-gen Alto is expected to hit roads during 2022 Diwali season. The hatchback might be offered with a new K10C Dualjet 1.0L, 3-cylinder petrol engine with idle start/stop system. The new-gen Swift will make its global debut sometime this year and its India launch might happen in 2023.

2022 Tata Nexon

Tata Motors will give a generation change to its three popular cars including Tiago, Tigor and Nexon. All three models will switch to the new Alfa (Agile, Light & Flexible Architecture) platform, which already underpins the Altroz hatch and Punch mini SUV. The new-generation Nexon is reported to receive mild hybrid technology with the existing petrol and diesel engines. The compact SUV might also get a new DCT automatic gearbox. Comprehensive design changes and feature upgrades are likely to be made to all new models.

Upcoming New Mahindra SUVs

The second-generation Mahindra Scorpio is slated to hit showrooms in the second half of 2022, while the new-gen XUV500 will come sometime in 2024. Both models will witness significant changes inside and out along with more powerful engines. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will have the 2.0L (130bhp/160bhp) petrol and a 2.2L diesel (155bhp) engine options. The all-new XUV500 is reported to return as a Hyundai Creta rival with 160bhp. 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines.

The new-generation Hyundai Verna is currently in testing phase and is reported to launch sometime in 2023. The sedan will carry the brand’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language along with a few cosmetic changes and bigger dimensions. It will continue to feature the 1.5L petrol and diesel engines under the hood.

Renault Duster

The French automaker has already stopped production of the Duster in the country. In India, the compact SUV will skip its second-generation and come in its latest third-generation avatar sometime in 2023. It will be based on the CMF-B platform and is reported to come with plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains.

The new-generation Ford Endeavour will have it world debut on 1st March 2022. In India, the SUV’s new model could be brought via CBU route that will make it way more expensive than all its rivals. It will come with better styling, more features and two diesel engines – 2.0L twin-turbo EcoBlue and 3.0L V6 turbo.
