2018 Maruti Vitara Brezza Gets New Features; Launch Soon

The 2018 Maruti Vitara Brezza will get dual front airbags and ABS as standard, while the top-spec model will receive new blackened alloys

Maruti Suzuki had launched the Vitara Brezza compact SUV in early 2016. This model was an instant hit and is currently the top-selling utility vehicle in India. It is the company’s first sub-4 meter urban SUV, which is available in diesel version only. The compact SUV directly rivals the Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon, both of which offer range of features and technologies. If latest media report is to be believed, Maruti will soon introduce the new variant line-up for the Brezza in the Indian market. The new model will come with dual front airbags and ABS as standard. The low and mid-variants of the outgoing model comes with optional ABS and dual airbags system. Adding to it, the range-topping ZDi trim will come equipped with a new sportier look. The SUV will get newly developed alloy-wheels finished in black, which will add sporty look to it. Apart from these minimal upgrades, the rest of the Brezza and its engine won’t receive any changes. The addition of the new features will also increase the prices of the SUV. The report suggests that the base LDi variant will receive a price rise of Rs 12,500, while the prices of VDi and ZDi trims will be increased by 8,500 and 5,500 respectively. 2018 Maruti Vitara Brezza Side

Maruti Suzuki is also planning to launch the petrol-powered Brezza in the market. Besides, automatic version of the SUV is also expected to arrive soon. The petrol version is likely to be powered by a 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine producing 100bhp and 150Nm. Read – Tata Nexon Vs Maruti Vitara Brezza

The outgoing model is powered by a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine that is capable of producing a maximum power output of 89bhp and a peak torque of 200Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti is also offering several customisation options with this compact SUV via iCreate program.
