The Tata Curvv is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly anticipated upcoming SUVs of the year, set to go on sale in the coming months. Initially, we will receive its electric iteration, with the internal combustion engine (ICE) version hitting roads during the 2024 festive season. We got a glimpse of the model in its production-ready avatar earlier this year at the first edition of the Bharat Mobility Show. Recently, one of its test mules was caught on camera wearing heavy camouflage, seemingly representing the base variant. The spotted prototype features steel wheels with plastic covers and LED headlamps with LED DRLs. It lacks the ADAS suite and 360-degree camera. The lower variant is expected to come with a new grille with piano black and body color finish, a front bumper with a larger air intake, a prominent faux skid plate, and bumper-integrated fog lamps similar to the updated Harrier.
The SUV boasts a coupe-like roofline, a shark fin antenna, pincer-styled dual-tone machined alloy wheels, flush-fitting door handles, chrome-framed windows, and body cladding all around the body, enhancing its side profile. At the rear, the Curvv will feature a split aero rear spoiler, reflectors, and connected LED taillights.
The forthcoming Tata Curvv SUV is expected to be packed with new tech, including the ADAS suite and 360-degree camera. The list of features will also include a HUD unit, a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, an electric parking brake, and a two-spoke steering wheel.
Engine specifications of the all-new Curvv are yet to be disclosed. However, it’s likely to come with the new 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines delivering 125PS and 115PS, respectively. The SUV’s electric version is expected to offer a range of over 500km. Similar to the Punch.ev, it will underpin Tata’s new Acti.ev platform.
