all-new Suzuki Swift Specs

The next-gen Maruti Swift (codename – YED) will come with significantly improved design, upmarket interior and an all-new Z-Series petrol engine. The hatchback will ditch the existing 1.2L, 4-cylinder K-Series petrol engine for a new 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z-Series motor that will be available with and without mild hybrid tech.

While power and torque outputs of the new unit are likely to be more or less similar to its replacement, it’s expected to offer enhanced fuel efficiency. The 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes will be carried forward from the current generation. Its overall length will be increased, while the width and height will be slightly reduced. Most of its interior changes will be inspired by the new Fronx. The hatch will get a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless smartphone connectivity and a bunch of new features.

The Tata Curvv concept based coupe SUV will be introduced with electric powertrain by mid 2024, while its ICE-powered version will arrive during this year’s festive season. The SUV’s ICE model will mark debut of Tata’s new 125bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine. It will also borrow the 1.5L, 4-cylinder diesel engine from the Nexon.

Inside, the Curvv SUV will have 10.25-inch dual screens along with features such as a 360 degree camera, sunroof, a wireless charger, connected car features and ventilated seats. Design-wise, the SUV will stay close to its concept featuring Tata’s signature LED headlamps and taillamps with split setup, gloss black cladding on the side profile and a coupe-like roof line. Compared to the Nexon, the new Tata Curvv will be 313mm longer and have a 62mm longer wheelbase.
