A Sportier Hyundai Creta Facelift Coming On May 23 or 24 – Report

New Hyundai Creta Sport variant will be equipped with sunroof, sportier alloy wheels, dual-tone body and new seat ventilation system

We informed you earlier that Hyundai will launch the Creta facelift in May 2018. A new media report claims that the SUV could be launched on 23rd or 24th of May. Though, Hyundai hasn’t revealed the official details of the SUV. In fact, few dealers have started taking pre-bookings for the car unofficially. The report further claims that Hyundai will also launch the Creta Sport in India.

The new Creta is already on sale in the international markets like Brazil and China. It is expected that the India-spec model will receive changes in-line with the Brazilian model. Hyundai Creta Sport

New Creta facelift will receive signature cascading grille and updated bumpers. It also gets new fog lamp housings that are much more sharper than the outgoing model, which gives it a sportier look. The side profile is largely identical to the outgoing car, except for the new alloy wheels. Talking about Creta Sport, the SUV is expected to receive a newly developed alloy wheel and a dual tone body. This top variant will also receive sunroof and seat ventilation system, which is also been offered on the new Verna sedan. The Hyundai Creta facelift will receive the same set of engines – 1.4-litre diesel, 1.6-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel. While the entry-level diesel model is good for 89bhp and 220Nm, the top-spec model produces 126bhp and 265Nm. The 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 121bhp and 151Nm of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox comes as standard, while a 6-speed automatic unit will be offered as optional.
