Jawa – The Most Searched Bike On Google In 2018

Google Trends can give you a snapshot of a year – what it looked like, went through and brought about. Similar to the every year, the world’s biggest search engine released the list of the top 10 searched bikes of 2018. The entries were based on the search queries made by users on Google.

Jawa motorcycles, undoubtedly, was the most searched bike on Google in 2018. Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra, introduced two new Jawa bikes – Jawa 350 and Jawa Forty Two (42) in November, 2018. With their retro-modern design and nostalgic value, the motorcycles grabbed much attention from young generation. In fact, both models are reported to be sold out till September, 2018.

The TVS Apache was the second most searched bike on Google in 2018. The search engine, however, didn’t revealed exact name of the Apache bike. It could be the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition or the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. Recently, the Apache brand achieved 3 million sales milestone in the country.

The third on the list was the Suzuki Intruder 150 cruiser that was launched in late 2017 and received FI (fuel injected) variant in March, 2018. Attributes such as unique styling and competitive pricing have worked in its favour. The fourth and fifth spots are grabbed by two new scooters – TVS Ntorq 125 and Suzuki Burgman Street – respectively.

The Hero Xtreme 200R, that has been designed to solve daily commuting and performance purposes, stood at number six. TVS’s newly-launched Radeon 110cc commuter motorcycle managed to gather attention from online buyers and became the seventh most searched motorcycle of the year.

Hero’s Destini 125 scooter and XPulse 200 were the eighth and ninth most searched bikes on Google in 2018 respectively. The latter is scheduled to go on sale early 2019. The tenth spot was captured by BMW Motorrad’s  G 310 R and G 310 GS performance motorcycles.
