TVS Motor Company has added two new colour schemes to its Ntorq 125 scooter – Metallic Blue and Metallic Grey. The vehicle is already available in four Matte shades – Matte Green, Matte Red, Matte White and Matte Yellow. No changes have been made to the pricing. The TVS Ntorq 125 is available in a single variant priced at Rs 58,750 (ex-showroom, Delhi). At this price point, the Ntorq 125 takes on the Honda Grazia, Suzuki Access and the upcoming Aprilia SR 125.
Based on the Graphite concept that was previewed at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the TVS Ntorq 125 comes with several segment-first features such as SmartXonnect technology, full digital instrument cluster with navigation and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. It also offers caller ID, an app-based parking location asisst and three display modes – Street, Sport and Ride Stats. TVS Ntorq 125 Price in India
The Chennai-based two-wheeler maker introduced its all-new flagship scooter TVS Ntorq 125 in February, 2018. Packed with some of the segment-first features and an efficient engine, the TVS Ntorq 125 comes in a single variant priced at 58,750 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With such aggressive pricing, it goes up against multiple 125cc scooters including Honda Grazia, Suzuki Access and the upcoming Aprilia SR 125.
TVS Ntorq 125 Design
The new TVS 125cc scooter makes use of the new rectangular step thru frame. Some of its design and styling bits have been carried over the from the TVS Graphite concept. Face of the scooter looks unique with features such as apron mounted stylish headlamp and the handlebar cowl mounted indicators. It comes fitted diamond-cut alloys shod with 100/80×12 front and rear tubeless tyres. There is a TVS Racing badging on the scooter. Other key highlights include seat with contract red stitching, split grab rails for the pillion, aluminum pillion footpegs, LED taillamp and the conventional turn indicators.
TVS Ntorq 125 is the first connected scooter in the country. It gets exclusive technology platform SmartXonncect, which is first-in-the-segment. It also the first scooter in its league to get a fully digital instrument cluster with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. The instrument display screen has a top speed recorder, a lap timer, average speed indicator, engine oil temperature, two trip meters (clock and digital readouts).
The list of features includes caller ID, parking location assist, an inbuilt immobilizer, a large display, a smart electronic key, engine kill switch, etc. Buyers are available with four dual tone color schemes – Matte Black, Matte Yellow, Matte Orange and Matte Green along with the newly-launched Metallic Grey and Metallic Blue. At the heart of the scooter includes is a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor is capable to deliver a peak power output of 9.2bhp (9.5PS) at 7,500rpm and 10.5Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. Channeling power to the wheels is a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) automatic gearbox. The TVS Ntorq 125 offers a claimed top speed of 95kmph. TVS Ntorq 125 Suspension & Braking System
Braking mechanism of the scooter consists of 220mm disc up front and 130mm rear drum brakes. Damping duties on the Ntorq 125 are taken care of by 30mm telescopic front fork and the gas-charged monoshock rear suspension unit. Sitting on a 1,285mm wheelbase, the scooter offers a fuel tank capacity of 5-litre. It carries a kerb weight of 116.1kg.
