Launched: Suzuki Intruder FI Priced At Rs 1.06 Lakh

Priced at Rs 1.06 lakh, the Suzuki Intruder FI is around Rs 7,000 more expensive than the carburetted variant.

Suzuki Motorcycles India has rolled out the fuel injection (FI) variant of its entry-level cruiser – the Intruder. Called the Suzuki Intruder FI, the new model has been priced at Rs 1.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it around Rs 7,000 more expensive than the carburetted variant of the bike that costs Rs 99,995 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Besides the fuel injection technology, no other changes have been made to the bike.

Commenting on the launch, Sajeev Rajasekharan, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycles India said, “Since its launch, the Intruder has received an overwhelming demand with close to 15000 units sold, overachieving our projected sales target by 25 per cent. Powering the Suzuki Intruder FI is the same fuel injected 154.9cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that also does duty in the Suzuki Gixxer FI. The powertrain uses six sensors to determine the fuel required for better combustion that enhance throttle response of the bike. The power and torque outputs stand at 14bhp at 8,000rpm and 14Nm at 6,000rpm respectively. Feeding power to the wheels is a 5-speed gearbox. Read – Suzuki GSX R400 Might Make A Comeback To India

Similar to the carburetted model, the Suzuki Intruder FI is available in two paint schemes – Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Matte Titanium Silver and Metallic Oort/Metallic Matte Black No 2. Its suspension mechanism includes telescopic front forks and Swing Arm Type mono-shock unit at the rear.

Riding on the black alloys, the bike comes fitted with front and rear disc brakes. The front setup gets a single channel Anti-lock Braking System.
