BMW G 310 R And BMW G 310 GS Launched In India

BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS are priced at Rs 2.99 lakh and 3.49 Rs lakh respectively.

The long wait for the BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS is finally over, as the German bike manufacturer has launched both the motorcycles in the Indian market. While the former has been priced at Rs 2.99 lakh, the latter one is made available at Rs 3.49 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. With this price tag, the BMW G 310 R becomes the most affordable offering from the German bikemaker in India.

Both the bikes are produced at the TVS Hosur based facility in Tamil Nadu. The manufacturing plant also serves as global export hub for the bikes. While BMW G 310 R is a naked streetfighter and first broke cover in 2015, the BMW G 310 GS is an adventure tourer first previewed in 2016. Powering the new BMW performance bikes is a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled reverse-inclined engine coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The motor can deliver a maximum power output of 34bhp at 9,500rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. Both the bikes make use of an aluminum swingarm and a tubular spaceframe that make them lighter and easy to ride.  Read – Top 10 Upcoming Bikes in India

The new entry-level performance bikes from BMW get dual channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard fitment. Stopping power is derived from a 300mm single-disc and a 240mm disc front and rear brakes respectively. Suspension system of the bikes includes a 41mm USD forks up front and a monoshock rear unit.

Compared to the BMW G 310 R, the BMW G 310 GS features a raised mudguard and a higher ground clearance. The latter one also gets a small windscreen and dual sport tyres. Both the bikes share lots of design and styling elements including instrument cluster, headlamp, handlebar and radiator shrouds. Buyers are also available with a range of accessories offered on both the performance motorcycles.
