BS6 Maruti Alto CNG Launched At Rs 4.32 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki India today rolled out the BS6-compliant version of the Alto CNG in the country. The BS6 Maruti Alto CNG has been made available in two variants – LXi and LXi (O) – priced at Rs 4.32 lakh and Rs 4.36 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director Markerting & Sales, said that the BS6 Maruti Alto CNG has been designed to offer “optimum performance, safety, engine durability, convenience, and mileage”. The company’s S-CNG vehicles are boosted with dual interdependent ECUs (electronic control units) and an intelligent injection system.
Recently, the carmaker introduced the range-topping Maurti Alto VXi variant priced at Rs 3.80 lakh. The new model comes equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, which is first in the segment.
The regular Maruti Alto is powered by a BS6-compliant 800cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine that delivers a maximum power of 47.3bhp and a peak torque of 69Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the carline. The petrol motor with the CNG kit pushes out a top power of 41bhp.
As of now, the Indo-Japanese carmaker is gearing up to unveil a range of new models at the Auto Expo 2020 in February. The lineup will include the all-new Futuro-e SUV-Coupe concept along with the Jimny SUV, Vitara Brezza facelift and Ignis facelift.
The 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift will receive subtle aesthetic and feature changes along with a new BS6-compliant petrol engine. The existing 1.3L diesel engine will be scrapped from the compact SUV lineup.
The all-new Maruti Futuro-e SUV-Coupe concept will preview the brand’s future mobility solutions. It will be a design study for the popular utility vehicle segment. Reports suggest that the carmaker will also showcase the Jimny SUV at the biennial event.
