Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol SHVS Spotted; Debut On 6th February
The new spy pictures of the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol have emerged on the web. The spotted model features a ‘Smart Hybrid’ badge at the rear end confirming that the SUV will receive the 1.5L K15B petrol SHVS mild hybrid powertrain. The same motor has already been used in the Ertiga MPV, Ciaz sedan and XL6.
The new petrol SHVS engine delivers a claimed power of 103.5bhp at 6000rpm and a peak torque of 138Nm at 4,400rpm. With a manual gearbox, it promises fuel economy of 19.34kmpl. The 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol will come with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic gearbox options. The carmaker will discontinue the existing 89bhp, 1.3L DDiS diesel engine.
The 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza will also witness minor changes inside and out. The LED headlamps will get new details along with the new DRLs. While the front grille will remain unchanged, its bumper will be reprofiled. You will notice new LED detailing in the taillamps. No changes will be made to its dimensions. The interior will look refreshing with subtle updates. The 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza is likely to come with new seat upholstery and a revised instrument cluster along with the updated touchscreen infotainment system.
Prices of the new Vitara Brezza facelift are likely to be less or more similar to the current model. At present, the subcompact SUV comes in the price range of Rs 7.62 lakh – Rs 10.64 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to take on the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300. The upcoming Kia Sonet (Kia QYi) will also give a tough fight to the new Vitara Brezza.
