Maruti Alto VXi+ Top Variant Launched; Gets Touchscreen Infotainment System

Maruti Suzuki India has further expanded its highly-popular Alto hatchback lineup with a new variant. Positioned top-of-the-line, the new Maruti Alto VXi+ has been priced at Rs 3.80 lakh that makes it around Rs 13,000 more expensive than the old range-topping VXi variant. The new model gets the brand’s SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with a 7.0-inch touchscreen. The infotainment system of the Maruti Alto VXi+ supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with Bluetooth connectivity (first in the segment). No other changes have been made to the vehicle.

Similar to the previous top-end VXi trim, the new Maruti Alto VXi+ comes with manual adjustable wing mirrors, dual-tone interior, remote locking, front power windows, power steering and a manual air conditioner with heater.

For safety provision, the hatchback offers dual front airbags (passenger airbag is optional on trims below VXi), seatbelt reminders, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and EBD (electronic brake-force distribution). The new Maruti Alto VXi+ sources its power from the same BS6-compliant 800cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine dishing out a peak power of 47.3bhp and 69Nm of torque. The hatchback comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It can also be had with the CNG kit (LXi trim) that makes 41bhp.
