3. Tamo Futuro
With an aim to mark strong presence in the global auto space, Tata Motors has announced its new automotive brand – Tamo. The first production under this brand will make its global debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Likely to be named Tamo Futuro, the vehicle will be a two-seater, mid-engined sportscar. It will be based on the company’s new Advanced Modular Platform or AMP. In India, the vehicle could make its debut at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo.
The Tamo Furturo is expected to be powered by a new 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine, which reportedly produces around 180bhp of maximum power output. The company aims to reduce the kerb weight to offer great power to weight ratio. If media reports are to be believed, Tata will roll out just 250 units of Futuro initially.
