2. Tata Nexon Compact SUV
Based on the X1 platform, Tata Nexon surely looks one of the better looking sub compact SUVs in India. A sleek but spacious vehicle, the Nexon will be an ideal car for people looking for an entry-level compact SUV. The compact SUV was put up on display in its production avatar at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The vehicle retains most of its design elements that were shown on its concept.
This compact SUV carries a futuristic and sporty design, and has a range of comfort and connectivity features to offer. The Nexon will come with two powertrain options – a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and an all-new 1.5-litre diesel. The former returns a claimed power of 89bhp and 140Nm of torque, while the latter one is good enough for 108bhp and 260Nm. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed manual unit.
