– Maruti Swift RS

India’s most loved hatchback – Maruti Swift will soon receive a performance oriented version. It was speculated that the Swift Sport will come to India; that didn’t happen. This model will be expensive for the Indian market. The Swift RS will be powered by a 1.0-litre Boosterjet petrol engine that also powers the Baleno RS. Paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, this engine churns out 100bhp of power and 150Nm of torque.

– New Maruti Vitara Brezza

Maruti Suzuki is readying the facelift version of the Vitara Brezza compact SUV, which will receive a new diesel and petrol engines. The facelifted Brezza will come with subtle design changes in the form of revised grille & headlamp setup. The SUV will also get upgraded interior, which will have an updated version of the SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SUV will receive a new 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 94bhp of power and 225Nm of torque. It will also receive a new 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 104bhp and 138Nm of torque.

– New Maruti WagonR

Maruti Suzuki’s most practical tall-boy hatchback – Wagon R will receive a new-generation model in India before the end of this financial year. The new Wagon R will rival the all-new Hyundai Santro. It will be powered by the existing 1.0-litre K-Series petrol engine. Both manual and automatic versions will be on offer.

The popular Maruti Suzuki ZEN nameplate is reportedly to make a comeback into India. However, this time the new ZEN will be introduced as a micro SUV. The company will launch a micro SUV based on the Future S Concept, which will be brand’s smallest SUV in India. It will be powered by a tried & tested 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine or a 1.0-litre K-Series petrol. Both manual and automatic models will be on offer.

Maruti S-Cross & Vitara Brezza Petrol

Maruti’s two popular UVs – S-Cross and Vitara Brezza – will finally receive petrol version. Both models will be powered by a 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine that also powers the Ciaz and the upcoming Ertiga MPV. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 103bhp and a peak torque of 138Nm. Transmission duties will be carried out by a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Maruti Baleno Facelift

Maruti’s premium hatchback, Baleno will receive a major makeover in the Indian market in early 2019. The hatchback will get refreshed exterior design and better equipped cabin. It is likely to receive an updated touchscreen infotainment system, which will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Mechanically, the hatchback will remain unchanged and will continue to feature the existing set of engines. The company could tweak the suspension set-up for better riding experience.
