6. Honda Accord Hybrid
With more premium looks, plush interior and a new hybrid engine, the Honda Accord stands among the highly-anticipated upcoming new car launches during Diwali 2016. The Accord will make a comeback with its ninth-generation model on 25th October. This time the Japanese carmaker will bring-in the saloon with a hybrid powertrain – 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol + 1.3kW Lithium ion battery – delivering a combined power output of 196bhp and 306Nm of torque. The petrol mill and electric motor, separately, produce 141bhp and 75bhp respectively. This hybrid engine will be coupled to an electronic CVT gearbox.
The overall size of the saloon is said to be smaller than before. It will be stiffer as well. The interior design of the vehicle will show Honda’s ‘Man Maximum, Machine Minimum’ concept. The cabin space is claimed to be more than the current model. The car will come with several comfort and connectivity features.
