3. Hyundai Tucson
Hyundai India is all set to bring back the Tucson SUV in the country on 24th October, 2016. The third-generation Tucson, that already had its global launch, will arrive in the Indian market as a rival to Mahindra XUV500. While the global-spec model have three engine options, the India-bound version might come with a 2.0-litre VTVT petrol and a 2.0-litre CRDi diesel powertrains. The petrol unit is the same that does duty in the new Elantra. On the sedan, this engine delivers 150bhp of power and 192Nm of torque. The diesel motor’s details are still under the wraps. The SUV could be brought either with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission.
Reports suggest that the Tucson will come with a bunch of segment-first features, thus making it more desirable over its rivals. Its all-black interior with leather-wrapped steering wheel and silver trim on centre console and HVAC vents looks quite sporty.
