12. Skoda Rapid Facelift
The Skoda Rapid facelift will be the only car from the Czech carmaker this Diwali. The car will see a few cosmetic upgrades along with some mechanical changes. Besides this, the updated model, unlike its pre-facelift, will be produced with high-level of localization. The saloon might share its diesel engine with the Ameo – a 1.5-litre TDI. This bigger turbocharged motor can offers power worth 108bhp against 103bhp of the existing unit. While the 1.6-litre, 103bhp engine will continue to be available on the new model. There will be three transmissions on offer – 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG automatic.
The key design highlights will include a new grille, sculpted hood and re-designed headlamps and bumpers. Inside, the car will get an Andorid-supported new touchscreen MirrorLink system, new seat upholstery, a reverse parking camera, auto day/night internal rear view mirror and automatic wipers.
