Maruti Suzuki had launched the Vitara Brezza compact SUV in India in early 2016. Since then, it has been the best-selling SUV currently on sale in the country. Available only in diesel version, the Brezza commands a waiting period of around 3-4 months. However, there are decent number of cars that offers better power, interior and looks than the Brezza. Here we listed out 5 cars you can drive home at Maruti Brezza’s price –

Tata Nexon

Tata Motors entered into the sub-4 meter SUV category with Nexon compact SUV. This SUV is undoubtedly the most stylish car in its league. Featuring coupe-like styling, the Nexon is also one of the most feature-loaded SUVs in its league. The cabin feels premium, thanks to good quality plastic and fit and finish. The rear seats also offer better legroom and kneeroom space for three adults. Though, it is more comfortable for 2 adults and 1 kid. The SUV also gets segment-first HDR touchscreen infotainment system with connected car applications.

The SUV is available with two engine options –  110bhp, 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel and a 110bhp, 1.2-litre Revotron petrol. Both engines are also available with automatic gearbox option. This model is also more powerful than the Brezza.

Ford EcoSport

In terms of driveability, the EcoSport is undoubtedly the best sub-4 meter SUV currently on sale in India. The new model comes with segment-leading safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, traction control, ESP, etc. Not just safety features, the cabin comes with all the features that are accessible in other cars in its category. It features a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC3. In fact, the lower-spec variants come with 9-inch touchscreen system devoid of SYNC3.

Honda WRV

The WRV, a crossover based on Jazz, could be a viable alternative for the Vitara Brezza. One reason that makes it a good option is the amount of space it offers. This is the most spacious car in its category, offering enough space to accommodate 5 adults comfortably. It is also available with a sunroof option. The Honda WR-V is available in both petrol and diesel guise. The diesel version is powered by a 1.5-litre i-DTEC unit producing 99bhp and 200Nm. It is claimed to return an impressive fuel economy of 25.5kmpl. On the other side, the petrol version gets the tried & tested 1.2-litre i-VTEC that produces 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Honda Amaze

Yes, this is one car you can opt for instead of Vitara Brezza. The new Amaze is one of the most balanced products when it comes to drivability, efficiency, spaciousness, safety and features. The sedan looks better than most of the cars in the sub-compact sedan segment. It is equipped with a good quality interior along with features like new 7.0-inch DIGIPAD 2.0 infotainment system with connected car applications, automatic climate control, etc. The sedan is available with 2 engine options – 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel. It also comes with CVT automatic option in both petrol and diesel models.
