Auto Expo 2020 has witnessed multiple exciting launches from different car manufacturers across the segments. Here, we have listed the top 6 new car launches that took place at the motor show.

1. Kia Carnival

Kia Motors India announced prices of the all-new Carnival luxury MPV at the Auto Expo 2020. The entry-level Premium variant comes with 7 and 8-seat configurations priced at Rs 24.29 lakh and Rs 25.15 lakh respectively. The mid-level Prestige’s 7 and 9-seater models cost Rs 28.95 lakh and Rs 29.95 lakh respectively. The fully-loaded Limousine trim has been made available at Rs 33.95 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Under the hood, the Kia Carnival features a BS6-compliant 200bhp, 2.2L diesel engine with an 8-speed Sportsmatic automatic gearbox.

2. New Tata Harrier

The new Tata Harrier is one of the biggest launches happened at the Auto Expo 2020. The updated model has received a new, more powerful diesel engine along with an automatic gearbox. Powering the 2020 Tata Harrier is the 170bhp, 2.0L Kryotec diesel motor paired to a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. The vehicle also received larger ORVMs and alloy wheels along with a new Calypso Red colour. Inside, there is a factory-fitted sunroof, 6-way adjustable powered driver seats, auto dimming interior rear view mirror and new trim on dashboard. The 2020 Tata Harrier is available in the price range of Rs 13.69 lakh – Rs 20.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

3. Mahindra eKUV100

Mahindra & Mahindra rolled out the all-electric eKUV100 at the Auto Expo 2020. Priced at Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra eKUV100 becomes the most affordable electric car in the country. The hatchback employs a 54.4bhp, 40kW electric motor delivering power to the front wheels. It has liquid-cooled lithium ion battery that’s claimed to deliver a range of 150km on a single charge. It takes 5 hours 45 minutes to get charged via a regular charge and 55 minutes via a fast charger.

4. Skoda Octavia RS 245

Skoda Octavia RS 245 has returned to India with a price tag of Rs 35.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Only 200 units of the performance sedan have been allocated for India. Bookings for the vehicle will open on 1st March at 12pm and deliveries will begin in April, 2020. The Octavia RS 245 derives its power from a 2.0L TSI turbocharged petrol engine that’s good for 245bhp and 370Nm. This makes it around 15bhp more powerful and 20Nm torqueier than the old one.

5. Mercedes-Benz V-Class Marco Polo

Mercedes-Benz V-Class Marco Polo, the all-new luxury campervan from German carmaker, is now available in the Indian market. Launched at the Auto Expo 2020, the campervan has been offered in two variants – Horizon and Marco Polo – priced at Rs 1.38 crore and Rs 1.46 crore (all, ex-showroom) respectively. Powering the new V-Class Marco Polo is a BS6-compliant 2.2L, 4-cylinder diesel engine pushing out power worth 161bhp and 380Nm of torque. Transmission on offer is a 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox.

6. Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupe

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupe, the fastest series production sedan around Nurburging racetrank, has been launched in India at Rs 2.42 crore (ex-showroom). At the heart of the coupe is a 4.0L, twin- turbocharged V8 petrol engine paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The motor delivers a peak power of 639bhp and a peak torque of 900Nm. Power is delivered to all four wheels via Mercedes’ 4Matic AWD (all-wheel-drive) system. It is claimed to do 0 to 100kmph in 3.2 seconds.
