Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé Is Now On Sale In India
The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé has finally made its way to India. Launched at the Auto Expo 2020, the vehicle has been offered at a starting price of Rs 2.42 crore (ex-showroom, India). At this price point, it takes on the Porsche Panamera Turbo. The AMG GT 63 S 4-Door Coupe holds the Nürburgring racetrack record for bring the fastest series-production sedan.
In its 63 S version, the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé derives its power from a 4.0L, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine pushing out a peak power of 639bhp and a peak torque of 900Nm. The gasoline motor comes paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox delivering power to all four wheels via Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. It can do 100kph from standstill in just 3.2 seconds.
With respect to features, the AMG GT 63 S 4-Door Coupé comes loaded with several goodies including a twin 12.3-inch display setup for instrumentation and infotainment with the latest MBUX system, a touchpad on the centre console and a new steering wheel.
Most of its design bits are carried over from the MG ST sportscar. The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé carries a chrome finished vertical slat grille, LED headlamps, muscular front apron with sculpted lines, AMG-specific alloy wheels, a sloping roof design, chrome highlights around the windows and all LED lighting setup.
