The 2020 Auto Expo is finally here and most of the carmakers have managed to wow us with their product portfolio. The biennial event has witnessed several unveilings of the all-new models, futuristic concepts and electric vehicles. However, if we have to select the best cars displayed at the Auto Expo 2020, these top 6 cars are surely head turners.

New Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

Maruti Vitara Brezza Facelift

One of the major unveilings from the Indo-Japanese carmaker is the new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift that will see a release in coming months. The subcompact SUV receives a new BS6-compliant 1.5L K15B petrol engine with a manual and automatic gearbox option. Interestingly, the brand’s SHVS mild hybrid technology is exclusively offered on the automatic petrol variants. What add more value to the package are design changes and additional features offered on the vehicle. The new Vitara Brezza also gets new three dual-tone colours.

Suzuki Jimny Sierra

The fourth-generation Suzuki Jimny Sierra is certainly one of top unveilings at the Auto Expo 2020. The showcased model is powered by Suzuki’s 1.5L K15B petrol engine delivering power worth 102bhp. The gasoline motor is paired to a 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. Globally, the SUV is also offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. As of now, the carmaker has no plan to launch the Jimny Sierra in India.

New Hyundai Creta

New Hyundai Creta 2020

The second-generation Hyundai Creta has made its official India debut at the Auto Expo 2020. The SUV comes with improved styling, more features and new BS6-compliant engine setup. In fact, the new Creta has witnessed dimensional changes. While the official engine specifications of the 2020 Hyundai Creta are yet to be revealed, it’s likely to share its powertrains with the Kia Seltos. The SUV’s new model is all set to hit roads in March, 2020.

MG Gloster

Another highly interesting model is Gloster 7-seater SUV from MG Motor India. It will be brand’s flagship model that will go on sale during this year’s Diwali season. The SUV measures over 5m in length, thus making it longer than the Toyota Land Cruiser 200. Design of the MG Gloster seems inspired by the Maxus D90 that sold under SAIC sub-brand in the Chinese market. Interior of the 7-seater is packed with several comfort goodies and high-tech features. In India, the Gloster could be offered with a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine that’s good for 218bhp and 480Nm.

Tata Gravitas

Tata Gravitas is one of the major attractions standing at the brand’s pavilion at the Auto Expo 2020. Slated to hit roads in coming months, the new 6/7-seater SUV from Tata is longer and more spacious than the Harrier. Though, both SUVs sit on 2741mm long wheelbase. Similar to the new Harrier, the Gravitas comes equipped with the BS6-compliant 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine pushing out power worth 170bhp. Transmission on offer is a 6-speed torque convertor automatic, sourced from Hyundai.

Kia Sonet

Making its global debut, the Kia Sonet compact SUV will hit showrooms in the second half of 2020. It’s surely one of the most stunning models from Kia showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. The subcompact SUV shares its platform with the Hyundai Venue and is likely to come with the 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options. Both manual and automatic gearbox will be on offer. It’s estimated to cost between Rs 7 lakh – Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
