2017 Ford EcoSport Titanium S Variant Spied Prior To Launch

The new Titanium S variant is expected to be positioned above the regular Titanium trim in the model’s line-up.

Ahead of the 2017 Ford EcoSport facelift launch, the model has been spotted in production guise at a stockyard. Interestingly, one of the spotted units was seen sporting the ‘Titanium S’ badge. The ‘S’ suffix in the nameplate probably signifies the sport edition. Besides, it also sported a TDCi engine badge which indicates that the Titanium S version could use the 99bhp, 1.5-litre oil burner that is already offered with the existing EcoSport. The Figo and Aspire models in Ford’s line-up also come with ‘S’ variants which were introduced earlier this year in January.

The new Titanium S variant is expected to be positioned above the regular Titanium trim in the model’s line-up. Although, it is yet unclear if the company will introduce the Titanium ‘S’ alongside the standard facelift or separately. That said, expect it to get a lot of black elements such as the smoked projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, darker grille, black cladding surrounds around the fog lamps and black roof rails. It will additionally get new set of alloy wheels that will bring about a vital change to its aesthetic appeal.

In tandem with the standard model, the Titanium ‘S’ version will also feature the mounted spare wheel on the tailgate with a new wheel cover sporting ‘EcoSport’ engraving. Rear will additionally get a larger spoiler and plastic cladding on front as well as rear bumper will further accentuate the rugged semblance. 2017 Ford EcoSport Petrol Engine Review

One of the prominent changes on the new EcoSport facelift will be the new 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol unit from Ford’s Dragon family of engines. In terms of power, the naturally aspirated engine will put out 120bhp against 150Nm torque. Ford will continue offering its globally acclaimed 1.0-litre EcoBoost unit on the facelift.
