Maruti Suzuki 7-Seatear SUV Launch Details Revealed
Maruti Suzuki is planning to foray into C-segment SUV space with an all-new model in the next fiscal year. While the company remains tight lipped about the product, it’s reported to be the 7-seater Suzuki Vitara that’s already on sale in the global markets. In fact, the global-spec Vitara has been caught on camera several times in the country.
In India, the new Maruti 7-seater SUV will gun up straight against the multiple products right from the upcoming Hyundai Creta 7-seater, Tata Gravitas and new-generation Mahindra XUV500 to the upcoming MG Hector 6-seater and the Jeep Compass based three-row SUV.

The global-spec Suzuki Vitara has been designed on the Global C platform that’s already used in the Vitara Brezza subcompact SUV. It’s a heavily localized platform that will surely help the carmaker achieve competitively pricing.
The new Maruti 7-seater SUV might be offered with the BS6-compliant 1.5L diesel engine that will also power the Vitara Brezza, Ciaz, Ertiga and S-Cross. The BS6-ready oil burner is reported to be re-introduced in 2021.
