BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X Launch, Colour Details Revealed
We have reported earlier that Royal Enfield will soon launch the BS6-compliant version of its highly popular 350cc motorcycles including the Thunderbird 350X. According to a fresh media report, the BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X is ready to hit showrooms in January, 2020.
Along with the updated engine, the cruiser motorcycle will receive a new Gateway Orange colour which is already offered on the Thunderbird 500X. The 500cc version of the cruise bike will be phased out before the BS6 emission norms will come into effect – i.e. April, 2020.
For power, the BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X will use the 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine boosted with fuel injection technology. It will meet the upcoming BS6 emission standards. In its BS4 form, it delivers a maximum power of 19.8bhp at 5,250rpm and 28Nm at 4,000rpm. The motor is hooked to a 5-speed gearbox.
Royal Enfield is also working on the new-generation Thunderbird 350X that’s reported launch by mid 2020. The all-new model of the cruiser bike will witness comprehensive design changes along with a few mechanical upgrades.
The 2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X will underpin the double-cradle chassis. The suspension setup of the bike will include the front telescopic forks and rear dual shock absorbers. It might also receive dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS).
