India Yamaha Motor recently introduced the new-gen Yamaha R15 V3 and updated YZF-R3 at the Auto Expo 2018. Besides this, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer also showcased the new Yamaha Fascino 2018 scooter at the biennial event. For the 2018 model year, the scooter has witnessed subtle cosmetic updates. Though, the engine mechanism remains unchanged.

New Yamaha Fascino 2018 Launch Date
Previewed at the recently-concluded Auto Expo, the 2018 Yamaha Fascino will soon hit the Indian roads. While the company hasn’t yet confirmed its launch details, it is reported to go on sale in March 2018. We will update you the official launch date and details as Yamaha announces it.
New Yamaha Fascino 2018 Price in India
Currently, the scooter is available at Rs 54,593, ex-showroom, Delhi. Featuring minor styling updates, the 2018 Yamaha Fascino will be slightly (around Rs 1,000) more expensive than the existing model. In the 110cc scooter space, it will continue to lock horns against the Hero Maestro Edge, TVS Jupiter and TVS Wego. Honda’s upcoming Activa 5G will also give a tough fight to new Fascino.

Mechanically, the 2018 model year remains unchanged. The 2018 Yamaha Fascino continues to make use of the same 113cc, single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC engine boosted with Blue Core technology. This system not only improves combustion efficiency of the engine, but reduces power loss and ensures better fuel supply as well. This motor, with a CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) automatic gearbox, can develop a top power of 7bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.1Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. Carrying 103kgs of kerb weight, the Fascino is the lightest scooters in its segment. Braking duties on the scooter are performed by front and rear drum brakes. Its suspension mechanism include telescopic with coil spring/oil damper and unit swing with coil spring/oil damper at the front and rear axles respectively.

New Yamaha Fascino 2018 Design
Sporting retro-modern styling, the 2018 Yamaha Fascino appeals young buyers. The updated model receives minor aesthetic changes including a slightly bigger signature badge on the front apron with chrome element surrounding, larger pillion grab handle and dual tone seat cover. Features such as headlamp cowl design, rear view mirrors, AHO (automatic headlamp on), analogue meter, fluidic side curves and creases, black plastic above the taillamp are carried over from the current model. It continues to ride on 10-inch steel wheels with 90/100-10 53J tubeless tyres. The scooter offers an under seat storage of 21-litres that can accommodate a full-sized helmet.
New Yamaha Fascino 2018 Dimensions
Dimensionally, the new Fascino remains unchanged. It measures 1,815mm in length, 675mm in width and 1,120mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,270mm. With a seat height of 775mm, the scooter offers a comfortable posture for short height people. The ground clearance stands at 130mm, which is good enough to tackle Indian city road conditions.

Similar to the current model, the 2018 Yamaha Fascino will be available in six new paint schemes – Fusion Red, Blending Blue, Mingling Cyan, Unite White, Sassy Cyan and Haute White.
