The Hero Maestro Edge 125 is reported to go on sale in March, 2019.
The home-grown two-wheeler manufacturer is gearing up to expand its 125cc scooter lineup with the new Hero Maestro Edge 125. The scooter made its first public appearance at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo alongside the Hero Duet 125 (Hero Destini). While the new Hero Maestro Edge 125 with sporty styling will appeal young buyers, the Destini 125 targets mass audience.
Both scooters derive power from a 125cc, single-cylinder engine benefited with i3S technology. Apart from a new powertrain, the Maestro Edge 125 receives new body graphics and features. Hero Maestro Edge 125 Launch Date
The more powerful version of the Maestro Edge first broke cover at the Auto Expo in February 2018. Official launch date and details of the scooter is yet to be announced by the carmaker. Hero Maestro Edge 125 Price in India
Currently, the Hero Maestro 110cc is available in two variants – Drum brake alloy wheel and Drum brake alloy wheel dual-tone – priced at Rs 51,100 and Rs 52,500 respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The new 125cc version of the scooter will be stacked up against Honda Grazia and Honda Activa 125. It will also impact sales of models such as the TVS NTorq, Suzuki Access and Aprilia SR 125. Developed at Hero’s Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur, the Hero Maestro Edge 125 is estimated to be priced between Rs 55,000 – Rs 60,000 (ex-showroom). Hero Maestro Edge 125 Specifications
Powering the new Hero scooter is a 125cc, single-Energy cylinder Boost engine that returns a claimed power output of 8.7bhp at 6,750rpm and a maximum torque of 10.2Nm at 5,000rpm. This motor is boosted with i3S (idle-start-stop) technology that enhances performance and fuel efficiency of the vehicle. After the Hero Destini 125, the Hero Maestro Edge 125 will be the company’s second scooter to feature i3S system. Hero Maestro Edge 125 Design & Features
In terms of design and styling, the 125 version of the Maestro looks identical to its 110cc counterpart. Though, it has sharper front and rear styling. The scooter features fibre body panels and new body graphics. It has been assembled with a larger 12-inch front alloy wheel. The list of feature includes an LED taillight, digital analogue instrumentation, external fuel filing, service indicators, remote key opening and a side stand. The Hero Maestro Edge 125 also gets an optional front disc brake. The scooter will be offered in 4 colour options, namely, Matte Brown, Matte Red, Matte Vernier Grey and Matte Techno Blue.
