Mahindra added another model to its electric range, the eVerito last year priced at Rs 9.50 lakh. The carline is currently available in three variants, D2, D4 and D6. In terms of power, the model gets a 72V battery pack that makes 40bhp of maximum power and 91Nm of torque. On a full charge, the electric sedan offers a range of 110kms and its top speed is rated at 86kmph. The lithium ion battery on the EV charges completely within 1 hour and 45 minutes through quick charge. On regular mode, the sedan takes 8 hours to charge. On the design front, the EV mimics styling of its diesel sibling, albeit it gets some new elements on the inside. As a matter of fact, it is one of the few all electric cars in India.

8. Honda Accord
Honda re-introduced its Accord brand in India last year in India. Routed to India via CBU, Accord comes only in hybrid version missing out on the petrol engine. The global model is currently in its 9th generation and is more premium as far as looks go. Power on the Accord hybrid comes from the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that works in collaboration with a 1.3 kilowatt/h lithium-ion battery. The petrol unit makes 145bhp with 175Nm torque while the battery develops 184bhp with 315Nm torque. On the other hand, the combined output is around 212bhp. Undercutting rivals by Rs 6 lakh in terms of pricing, Accord comes with a CVT gearbox.
