2. Toyota Prius
Prius is Toyota’s globally acclaimed electric vehicle which received an upgrade last year. It is not only renowned in global markets, but it is one of the best hybrid cars in India. Currently in its fourth generation the new Prius was launched in India last year at a price of Rs 38.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in a single Z8 variant. Prior to its launch, the model made its global debut in 2015 and was a part of Toyota’s pavilion at last year’s Auto Expo. The premium hybrid from Toyota comes with LED headlamps, LED fog lamps up front. On the inside, it gets cruise control, JBL speakers, power-operated driver’s seat, wireless charging among several others. In terms of safety it packs 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control, brake assist and vehicle stability control to name a few. Powered by the 2ZR-FXE, 4-cylinder, In-Line petrol hybrid it makes 98bhp with 142Nm of torque and uses a CVT for transmitting power.
