Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace Launch in April 2020 – Details Inside
German automaker, Volkswagen has announced to launch 4 new SUVs in the Indian market in the next 2 years. The company has unveiled the Tiguan AllSpace, T-ROC, Taigun mid-sized SUV and the I.D. Crozz pure electric SUV at the 2020 Auto Expo. Bookings for the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace and T-ROC mid-sized SUV have already been commenced, while launch will take place in April 2020.
– The Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace is a
long-wheelbase version of the standard 5-seater Tiguan.
– In comparison with the 5-seater Tiguan, the AllSpace is 226mm longer and has
110mm longer wheelbase.
– Upon its launch, the Tiguan LWB will rival the Skoda Kodiaq and the Honda
CR-V.
The Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace is available in the front-wheel-drive layout, which helps the company to curb pricing. It is expected that the company will price the new model equivalent to the current Tiguan SUV. The Tiguan AllSpace will arrive in our market as a CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit).
Dimensionally, the VW Tiguan LWB model is 4,712mm in length, 1,839mm in width, 1,673mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,791mm. In comparison with the regular Tiguan, the Allspace is 226mm longer and has 110mm longer wheelbase.
The 7-seater Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace borrows its design elements from its 5-seater variant. However, it comes with some design changes and better equipped cabin. In terms of styling, the SUV gets new LED projector headlamps, split LED tail-lamps and a sporty bumper with a faux exhaust. It rides on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

The VW Tiguan LWB will be powered by a BS6 compliant, 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine producing 190PS and 320Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The India-spec model also gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 143bhp of power and 340Nm of torque.
