Kia Sonet sub-4 meter compact SUV was recently made its global debut at the Delhi Auto Expo 2020. According to a fresh media report, the new SUV from the Korean carmaker will hit the Indian roads in August, 2020. In the same month, last year, the company had begun its Indian operations with Seltos compact SUV. Kia will commemorate its first anniversary with the launch of all-new Sonet.
In the subcompact SUV space, the Sonet will take head-to-head against the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon. To be manufactured at Kia’s Anantapur plant, the compact SUV is likely to come in the price range of Rs 7 lakh – Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The company aims to sell over 70,000 units of the Sonet in its full first year.
Built on Venue’s platform, the Kia Sonet carries the familiar Tiger nose grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs and the sculpted bonnet. The 16-inch alloy wheels, bold shoulder creases, flared wheel arches and paintjob around the C-pillar add more to its sporty looks. At the back, the new Kia compact SUV features large taillamps connected by an LED light bar. Read – Kia Carnival MPV Prices & Details
