Internally called X445, the Tata Hornbill micro SUV will share styling cues with the upcoming 45X hatchback. Though, it will have high riding stance, more aggressive looks and higher ground clearance. Going by the spy picture, it is visible that the small SUV is taller than the 45X hatch and has upright pillars to create more space inside the cabin. The roofline is relatively straight compared to the sloping roofline in the hatchback sibling.

The Tata Hornbill mini SUV is likely to share its engines with the Tata Tiago, which includes a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and a 1.05-litre diesel. However, these engines will be tuned to meet the upcoming BSVI emission norms. Tata could also opt for the detuned version of the 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engine to power the Hornbill.
