Suzuki Solio Bandit MPV Spotted In India

The fully-loaded variant of the Suzuki Solio compact MPV was recently caught testing in the country. Called Suzuki Solio Bandit, the model is likely to be here for future mild-hybrid powertrain testing purpose. As of now, Maruti Suzuki has no plan to launch the Solio or Solio Bandit in India. Painted in dual-tone shade, the Suzuki Solio Bandit looks similar to the standard Solio. Though, it features a split grille, LED headlamps, a wide radiator grille with integrated fog lamps, sportier 15-inch alloys, an aero-shape rear bumper and clear lens taillamps.

In terms of proportions, the Suzuki Solio Bandit measures 3720mm in length, 1625mm in width and 1745mm in height. This makes it around 65mm longer, 5mm wider and 70mm taller than the WagonR hatchback. Read – Maruti Suzuki Vitara, Jimny, New C-SUV Coming To India

The Japan-spec Solio Bandit comes equipped with the brand’s 1.2L, 4-cylinder K12C petrol engine coupled to mild-hybrid system. The latter one includes a small lithium ion battery pack and a 12V integrated starter generator (ISG). The MPV also gets stop-start system and brake-energy recuperation system.

The electric motor delivers a claimed power of 13.6bhp with 30Nm of torque. The combined power and torque output of the hybrid powertrain stand at 91bhp and 118Nm respectively. The Suzuki Solio MPV returns a claimed mileage of 27.8kmpl. It comes with FWD (front-wheel-drive) and AWD (all-wheel-drive) options. With respect to safety, the compact MPV offers dual camera brake support system, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and ESP (electronic stability programe), emergency stop signal and lane departure warning.
