Bookings of the new Ertiga have already been commenced at dealership level.

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will see an official launch on coming 21st November, claims a report. Though, the bookings of the MPV’s new model have already been commenced at dealership level. One can pre-book the car with a token sum of Rs 11,000. Prior to the launch of new Maruti Ertiga 2018, the carmaker is offering discounts up to Rs 75,000 on the outgoing diesel model of the MPV.

Design and styling of the new Maruti Ertiga will be revised completely. The MPV will also see minor proportion changes. The new Maruti Ertiga 2018 will be longer, wider and taller than the outgoing model. The wheelbase, however, measures the same 2,740mm. The new-generation model will have more cargo space to offer – i.e. 153-litres. Maruti Suzuki might also offer a new SmartPlay infotainment system with floating touchscreen on the MPV carline. It could also be compatible to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. While the dual front airbags and parking sensors could be made standard across the lineup, a reverse parking camera might be reserved for the top-spec variant.

At the engine front, the new Maruti Ertiga 2018 will get a new 1.5, 4-cylinder K15B petrol engine instead of 1.4L unit. The new gasoline motor, borrowed from the new Ciaz, pushes out a peak power of 104bhp and 138Nm of torque. The 89bhp, 13L diesel powertrain will continue to be on offer. The MPV’s new-generation model will come with two transmission options –a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic.
