American automaker, Ford has revealed the facelifted Figo sedan. It is basically a larger derivative of the Aspire compact sedan. The sedan will be manufactured at Ford’s Sanand plant in Gujarat and will be exported to select international markets. The upcoming Aspire sedan will also share design changes and feature upgrades from this Figo saloon.
The new Ford Figo sedan receives cosmetic changes to the exterior and interior. In terms of design changes, the sedan received larger headlights and a new front grille with chrome surround. The grille design is identical to the one offered in the Figo based Freestyle cross-hatchback. At the back, the sedan comes with a restyled bumper with a blackened lower portion. Inside the cabin, the new Figo sedan gets a redesigned dashboard featuring a new 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This system is compatible with Ford’s SYNC 3 technology, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also See – Ford Freestyle – Positives & Negatives
Similar to the new Freestyle, the upcoming Ford Figo sedan received new Dragon series engines – 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol. While the former is good for 94bhp and 120Nm, the latter is good for 121bhp and 150Nm of torque.
Talking about the India-spec Ford Aspire compact sedan, the vehicle will go on sale during festive season around Diwali. The car will receive several cosmetic changes to outside as well as inside. Engine options will include a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder and a new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines. The diesel version will get the 1.5-litre unit that produces 99bhp and 215Nm.
