Maruti Suzuki India that recently launched the Alto 800 facelift, is now gearing up to roll out the 2016 Maruti Alto K10 facelift by the end of this year. To be pitted against the Kwid (1000cc), the new Maruti Alto K10 2016 will receive minor cosmetic and feature updates. Mechanically, the car will remain unchanged as it will continue to feature the same 67bhp, 1.0-litre K-Series petrol and CNG-powered, 58bhp powertrains that do duty in the current model.

The comprehensive cosmetic updates will be made on the front fascia of the car. The 2016 Alto K10 facelift could feature a new front grille, revised headlamps, repositioned signature badge and re-designed bumper. The side profile is likely to remain unchanged, while the rear design could receive minor styling upgrades.

The interior of the new Alto K10 will be more up-market than the existing one. Material quality, too, could be a level-up than it is now. Similar to the Alto 800 facelift, the new K10 might get front power windows, remote keyless entry, central locking system, child safety lock and a few more features.

As mentioned above, the 2016 Maruti Alto K10 facelift will continue to be available with a 1.0-litre K-Series petrol and CNG fuel options. The K-Series gasoline unit produces 67.1bhp at 6,000rpm, while yielding 90Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. On the other hand, the CNG-powered variant offers 58.2bhp at 6,000rpm against 78Nm of torque at 3,5000rpm. Maruti Suzuki might tune these powermills for achieving high fuel efficiency. Transmission options on offer will be a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic.
