Mahindra has officially announced that it will launch 3 all-new products in the Indian market by the end of this year. Adding to it, the company also confirmed that 2 models including the Marazzo MPV will go on sale before Diwali. The second model to be launched during festive season is the long-awaited sub-4 meter SUV – codenamed S201. Likely to be called the Mahindra XUV300, the mini SUV will be launched in October 2018. The SsangYong Rexton’s based 7-seater SUV will go on sale towards the end of this year.
The Mahindra’s new sub-4 meter SUV will rival the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and the Ford EcoSport. It will be the brand’s first SUV to use international-spec SsangYong Tivoli’s X100 platform. What’s more interesting is that the SUV was recently spotted in Karnataka while getting off-loaded outside a Mahindra dealership. This suggests that dealer training for the new product will soon start.
While the new XUV300 will be a 5-seater model, Mahindra is also reportedly working on a 7-seater derivative. The 7-seater model will sit above 4 meter in length and will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks. This new model will be equipped with segment leading features. It will feature sunroof, LED headlights with DRLs, LED tail-lights, leather seats, push-button engine start/keyless entry, 7-airbags and a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity.

The Mahindra S201 will be powered by an all-new 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, which will make its debut in the Marazzo SUV. On the flip side, the petrol version will use the newly developed 1.2-litre turbocharged unit. This engine will reportedly to have a power output of around 140bhp, which will make it the most powerful in its category.
