Globally, the Kia Stinger GT is offered with three powertrains – a 2.0L petrol, a 2.2L diesel and a 3.3L V6 petrol.

Kia’s pavilion was surely one of the most interesting corners at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Korean carmaker unveiled a wide range of cars including the SP Concept, Sportage SUV, Grand Carnival MPV, Rio hatchback and Stonic Crossover. 1. Kia’s First Sports Sedan

Kia Stinger is the first rear-wheel-drive (RWD) four-door sports sedan from the Korean carmaker. First previewed at the 2017 Detroit Motor Show, the sports sedan has been developed under the guidance of Albert Biermann , the former vice president of engineering at BMW M Automobiles. 2. Fastest Kia Ever

Globally, the Kia Stinger GT is offered with three powertrain options – a 2.0L petrol, a 2.2L diesel and a 3.3L V6 petrol. The most powerful 3.3L motor, packed with two turbochargers, can do 0-60mph in just 0.2 seconds and 0-96kmph in 4.7 seconds. This makes it the fastest ever Kia car. It has an electronic speed limit of 270kmph. The 2.0L petrol and 2.2L diesel engines, on the other hand, take 5.8 seconds and 7.3 seconds to achieve 0 to 96kmph respectively. 3. Combines Luxury & High Performance

Besides lots of performance potential, the Kia Stinger GT has a pack of advanced comfort and safety features to offer. The list includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360 degree view camera, a 15-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, Nappa leather upholstery, a colour HUD (Head-Up Display) unit, dual-zone climate control, power adjustable front seats with ventilation and a powered tailgate. 4. Multiple Engine Options

As mentioned above, the Kia Stinger GT comes with two petrol (2.0-litre and 3.3-litre V6) and a diesel (2.2-litre) engine option. The 2.0L gasoline unit makes a peak power of 255bhp with 353Nm of torque and the 3.3L motor delivers 365bhp with 510Nm of torque. The oil burner is capable of producing a maximum power output of 197bhp against a peak torque of 440Nm. 5. India Launch & Price

Initially, Kia Motors aims to tap the mass segment with the SP concept based compact SUV. The carmaker might also bring in the Rio hatchback and Sportage SUV. The Kia Stinger GT, however, is unlikely to make its way to India in near future. Even if India is on the launch radar, the high performance sedan will be brought via CBU (Completely Built Up) route that will certainly make it an expensive deal. It is expected to be priced above Rs 70 lakh.
