Jawa Classic, Jawa 42 Mileage is more than Royal Enfield Classic 350
Classic Legends has revealed that the ARAI certified mileage for the Jawa Classic and Forty Two is 37.5kmpl.
Classic Legends has recently started deliveries of the first batch of the Jawa motorcycles in India. At the time of the launch, the mileage details of the new motorcycles were not revealed. Responding to a question on social media regarding the official fuel efficiency of Jawas, Classic Legends has revealed that the ARAI certified mileage for the Jawa Classic and Forty Two is 37.5kmpl.
With these numbers, the Jawas are slightly more fuel efficient than the Royal Enfield Classic 350 that is rated at 37kmpl. Though the margin is not drastically different, the Jawas are considerably more powerful than the REs. The Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty Two are powered by a 293cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine that is capable of producing 27bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. The mileage figures for the Jawas will be relatively on lower side in the real-world riding conditions. The ARAI testing is done is a very controlled conditions, which is quite different in the real world.
Classic Legends is currently working on expanding its dealership network with an aim to achieve 100 dealerships across the country this month. Classic Legends is targeting around 7,500 units per month sales of the motorcycles. While the Classic model is priced at Rs 1.64 lakh, the Jawa 42 is tagged at Rs 1.55 lakh. The standard Jawa and Jawa forty two comes equipped with single-channel ABS and a single-disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear wheel. While the Jawa Classic is available in three paint schemes – Black, Marron and Grey, the Jawa 42 comes in six shades – Comet Red, Nebula Blue, Galactic Green, Starlight Blue Lumos and Halley’ Teal.
