The Jawa 350 motorcycle is expected to be launched in India in 2018
We informed you earlier that Mahindra is planning to re-launch the Jawa bikes in the Indian market. The company has acquired the Jawa and BSA brands in 2016, and has recently launched the official website of Yezdi bikes. If reports are to be believed, the homegrown automaker is considering the new 2018 Jawa 350 motorcycle for the Indian market. The retro-styled motorcycle was revealed earlier this year and is already on sale in select international markets.
The 2018 Jawa 350 is likely to make its India debut at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The motorcycle is expected to be produced at Mahindra’s Pithampur plant, and the production is likely to commence in late 2018. The new Jawa 350 motorcycle design is inspired from 1970s 2-stroke bikes with modern-day elements. It is powered by a 350cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable of producing 26bhp of power and 32Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual gearbox. The India-bound model could get a 5-speed unit. Read More – Yezdi Bikes Are Coming Back

|Minimum||Rs 1.2 lakh|
|Maximum||Rs 1.5 lakh|
This retro-styled motorcycle will target Royal Enfield buyers. This bike will be locally developed at Mahindra’s production facility in Pithampur. In a bid to grab some market share in this segment, Mahindra is aiming to price this bike competitively. We believe that this 350cc motorcycle could be priced under Rs 1.5 lakh.
This new motorcycle is powered by the single-cylinder 350cc engine, which is sourced from the Chinese engine manufacturer Shineray. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 26bhp along with a peak torque of 32Nm. A four-speed gearbox driving the power to the front wheels will be on offer. However, the India-spec model could feature a 5-speed unit. The bike could also get an ABS (Anti-Lock Braking system) as optional safety feature.
For suspension mechanism, the bike will have 150mm telescopic forks at the front and 80mm telescopic at the rear. The braking duties will be carried out by disc and drum at the front and rear, respectively. It is also expected that the India-spec Jawa 350 could share engine specs from Mahindra Mojo, which is a 292cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine is good for 27bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 30Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed gearbox.
This motorcycle is expected to return around 25kmpl of mileage in city and 30kmpl on the highways.
This retro-styled motorcycle is claimed to have a top speed of 120kmph. We believe that the India-spec model will have similar fuel efficiency.
