Hyundai Motor India today rolled out the more powerful, turbocharged petrol version of the Grand i10 Nios hatchback. Called the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios turbo petrol, the new model comes in two variants – Sportz and Sportz (dual tone). Read – 2020 Hyundai Creta To Come In 14 Variants, 10 Colours

While the former has been priced at Rs 7.68 lakh, the latter comes with a price tag of Rs 7.73 lakh (all, ex-showroom). This means, the turbo petrol model is around Rs 1 lakh – Rs 1.25 lakh more expensive than the regular petrol Sportz trims.

Powering the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios turbo petrol is a 1.0L turbo GDI engine that’s tuned for generating power worth 99bhp at 6,00rpm and a peak torque of 172Nm at 1,500rpm – 4,000rpm. Read – 4 New Hyundai Cars Launching Soon

The same powertrain does duty in the newly-launched Hyundai Aura compact sedan. With a 5-speed manual gearbox, the turbo petrol version delivers a claimed mileage of 20.3kmpl.

Save for the Turbo badge on the front grille and tailgate, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios turbo petrol looks exactly similar to the regular model. It gets two dual-tone colours – Polar White with Black roof and Fiery Red with Black roof and two single tone shades – Polar White and Aqua Teal. The all-black interior theme with red inserts looks sporty. The hatchback’s turbo petrol model comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with latest smartphone connectivity and voice recognition.

Similar to the regular Sportz trim, the more powerful version offers projector headlamps, rear defogger, 14-inch alloy wheels with gun metal finish, gloss black dash inserts, a 5.3-inch part-digital multi-information display, automatic climate control with eco coating and Arkamys audio system.
