2020 Tata Nexon Petrol Specs

In January 2020, Tata Motors had rolled out 5 new models including Nexon EV, Altroz premium hatchback and facelifted Nexon, Tiago and Tigor. The 2020 Tata Nexon facelift witnessed subtle cosmetic changes and feature upgrades along with the BS6-compliant engines. The carmaker revealed all variant and feature details of the vehicle, except the power and torque figures of the updated motors.

Now, the company has revealed that the 2020 Tata Nexon facelift petrol delivers a maximum power of 118bhp (120PS) at 5,500rp and 170Nm of torque at 1,750rpm – 4,000rpm. This makes it 10bhp more powerful than its BS4 version that was good for 108bhp. The petrol model continues to come with the 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT gearbox option.

2020 Tata Nexon BS6 Launch Price

With the power upgrade, the new Nexon petrol becomes as powerful as the Hyundai Venue 1.0L turbo petrol model. The latter one returns a claimed power of 118bhp and 171Nm of torque. Prices of the 2020 Tata Nexon petrol start from Rs 6.95 lakh for the entry-level XE variant and go up to Rs 11.20 lakh for the top-spec XZA+ (O) trim. The diesel variants are priced from Rs 8.45 lakh to Rs 12.70 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

2020 Tata Nexon BS6

Talking about cosmetic changes, the new Nexon facelift received a new grille, LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, revised bumper, fog lamps, blacked-out C-pillars and new tri-arrow signature taillamps. The interior trim and upholstery are in lighter shade. The subcompact SUV also gets an updated infotainment system with iRA, a digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, voice recognition, vehicle locator, new fabric seat upholstery and What3Words for navigation. Features such as leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, iRA connectivity suite, tyre pressure monitoring system, rain sensing wipers, cruise control and automatic headlamps are reserved for the top-end trims.
