The new-generation Hyundai i20 is all set to make world debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week. Ahead of its global premiere, the carmaker has released the first interior picture of the hatchback. The 2020 Hyundai i20 comes with a four-spoke, leather wrapped steering wheel that looks identical to the second-generation Creta that’s due for 17th March, 2020. The unit has mounted audio and cruise control.
The hatchback’s new-generation model is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster with a 10.25-inch screen. The display screen changes colour with the drive modes. In Normal, Eco and Sport drive mode, it lights up Blue, Green and Orange respectively. The centre console integrated 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen is the major attraction of its interior. The system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Similar to the Venue, the 2020 Hyundai i20 gets the brand’s BlueLink connectivity suite along with Hyundai Live services including weather date, real time traffic updates and more. There are horizontal blades running across the length of its layered dashboard. Just below it, you will notice HVAC controls, a wireless charging pad and multiple USB ports. For entertainment purpose, the hatchback gets a Bose audio system. It also comes with ambient lighting, a front centre armrest and push button start/stop system. The 2020 Hyundai i20 will be offered with three interior trims – Yellow Green, Black Mono and Black and Gray and Black Mono. The interior and features of the India-spec i20 might be different.
Slated to launch in mid 2020, the new-generation Hyundai i20 is likely to come with three engine options – a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel. Transmission choices might include a manual gearbox and a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The latter one could be offered with the 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol motor.
