In November 2018, Maruti Suzuki India introduced the second-generation Ertiga MPV with comprehensive cosmetic, feature and mechanical upgrades. Launched at a starting price of Rs 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the 7-seater MPV has been doing really good for the Indo-Japanese carmaker. In December 2018, the Ertiga outsold Toyota Innova Crysta and Mahindra Marrazo to become India’s top-selling MPV.
Since the bookings for the new Maruti Ertiga 2019 are keep pouring in, its waiting period sours up to 5 months. According to a fresh media report, Maruti Suzuki Arena dealers still left with inventory of the MPV’s previous generation model. One can avail a discount up to Rs 1.08 lakh on the Ertiga’s previous generation model. While the old 1.4L petrol variants are available with benefits up to Rs 53,000, the CNG version is offered with a discount of 28,000. Just so you know, the new Maruti Ertiga 2019 gets a new 103bhp, 1.5-litre K15 motor instead of the old 1.4L petrol engine. The CNG option has also been discontinued as of now. The diesel version of the MPV is continue to use the 1.3L DDIS 200 engine that’s good for 89bhp and 200Nm. Both powertrains are benefited with SHVS mild hybrid system.
While the diesel variants are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the petrol models come with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission options. Mileage of the new Maruti Ertiga 2019 petrol is rated at 19.34kmpl (MT) – 18.69kmpl (AT). The diesel model, on the other hand, delivers fuel economy of 25.47kmpl.
