Design of the 2019 Yamaha R3 will be inspired by the new design philosophy of the ‘R’ series.

Yamaha has already started working on the next generation R3 fully-faired motorcycle, which is scheduled to be launched in 2019. Similar to the current model, the new 2019 Yamaha R3 will be promoted as a sports tourer. The new generation model styling will be inspired by the new design philosophy of the ‘R’ series from Yamaha. The 2018 model was just a cosmetic makeover, featuring new graphics, wheels and ABS system.

2019 Yamaha R3 Patent Pictures

The new 2019 Yamaha R3 testing has already been started on Indonesian roads. Full styling of the motorcycle has been revealed in patent filings by Yamaha in Australia and Turkey. The overall styling is largely identical to the current model, though it features newly styled front fascia and cowling. It gets a new split headlamp design with air-scoop positioned between the headlights. The 2019 Yamaha R3 looks largely identical to the bigger hot sibling – Yamaha R6. The cowl design has been changed slightly; however it still resembles the outgoing model. The bike will also receive a new USD front fork. It will be powered by the existing 321cc 2-cylinder engine that produces 41bhp of power and 29.6Nm of torque. The company could tweak the engine for better low-end performance.
