After the price hike, the 2018 Yamaha YZF R15 V3 costs Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

India Yamaha Motor has silently increased the price of the new R15 V3.0 by Rs 2,000. The full-faired bike, that entered in its third generation early this year, was launched at Rs 1.25 (ex-showroom, Delhi). After the price hike, the 2018 Yamaha YZF R15 V3 is now available at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Yamaha R15 V3 was first introduced in 2008, followed by a generation change in 2011.

Yamaha claims that the 2018 R15 V3 carries more aerodynamic design with reduced drag co-efficient. With a host of updates, it looks sharper and much better than the previous generation. Power for the 2018 Yamaha YZF R15 V3 comes from a new 155cc, liquid-cooled engine that’s good enough for 19bhp at 10,000rpm and 15Nm of torque at 8500rpm. The new motor runs on a higher compression ratio, and has lightweight forged aluminium piston and VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology.  Transmission on offer is a 6-speed unit. For braking duties, the full-faired bike gets a 282mm disc brake with a two-piston caliper at the front and a 220mm disc brake with a two-piston caliper at the rear. The India-spec version of the 2018 Yamaha YZF R15 V3 is devoid of ABS (antilock braking system).

Just so you know, the Japanese bikemaker is ready to launch the MotoGP edition of the new 2018 Yamaha R15 V3. Pained in Blue shade, the Yamaha Rs 15 V3 MotoGP edition will wear an ENESOS bagde on the belly pan and the Movistar moniker on the front and sides. The entire design of the new edition looks exactly similar to the regular model.
