New Ford Aspire Trip Is Coming Soon; To Challenge Maruti Dzire Tour

The Ford Aspire Trip will rival the Maruti Suzuki Dzire Toure and the Hyundai Xcent Prime.

The new Ford Aspire 2018 facelift is finally set to launch in India on coming 4th October. According to a latest report, the compact sedan lineup will also include a taxi variant that will gun up straight against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire Toure and the Hyundai Xcent Prime. Called the Ford Aspire Trip, the new taxi model will target the commercial and fleet market.

The Ford Aspire Trip is reported to be based on the Ambiente trim featuring black grille with black surround, body-coloured B-pillars, black exterior mirrors, steel wheels without wheel covers and black door handles. Interior of the new Ford Aspire Trip will be very basic. It is likely to feature dual-tone (Charcoal Black and Light Oak) interior theme with features such as tilt-adjust steering, 12V power outlet, fabric upholstery, electric boot release, dual airbags, engine immobilizer and remote locking. Read – New Ford Endeavour Revealed In New Pictures

Engine setup of the new Ford Aspire Trip variant will include the new 1.2L, three-cylinder ‘Dragon’ family petrol motor. The gasoline unit will deliver a class-leading power output of 96bhp against 120Nm of torque. Transmission on offer will be a 5-speed manual unit. The updated standard version of the sedan will also be available with the same 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that’s good for 98.6bhp and 215Nm of torque. Reports suggest that the new Ford Aspire 2018 facelift will have Boron Steel body that will make it slightly heavier than the current model.
