Renault Kwid Electric K-ZE Concept Breaks Cover At Paris Motor Show

The Renault K-ZE is essentially an all electric version of the Kwid hatchback.

Renault has unveiled an all-new SUV-inspired electric concept – the Renault K-ZE – at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. The K-ZE, which is essentially an electric version of the Kwid hatchback, will be manufactured by e-GT New Energy Automotive Co, the Joint Venture with Dongfeng Motor Group and Nissan for the Chinese market.  Read – Renault Kwid Facelift In The Works

While China will be the first market to receive the Renault Kwid Electric K-ZE, it will also make its way to India. Due to inadequate charging infrastructure and high manufacturing cost, however, the Renault Kwid Electric K-ZE won’t arrive anytime soon in our market.

Official specifications of the Renault Kwid Electric K-ZE are yet to be revealed by the carmaker. Though, the company has confirmed that its new electric car concept will offer a range of 250km in the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) cycle. Visually, the Renault K-ZE concept shares resemblance to the standard Kwid. At the front end, the car features a new grille with a larger Renault badge, narrower headlamps, revised bumper, bigger fog lamp assembly and a more prominent scuff plate. It also gets larger wheels and taillamps with more detailing. The Blue highlights across the body add more to its new sporty looks. Inside, the new Renault electric car features a central touchscreen with connected navigation and services, rear parking sensors and a reverse camera.
