2019 Maruti WagonR CNG Variant Will Come Later – Report
Initially, the 2019 Maruti WagonR will be made available with two petrol and LPG fuel options.
The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is ready to make its market debut on 23rd January, 2019. Ahead of its official launch, the engine, features and variant details of the hatchback have been surfaced online. The leaked brochure scan confirms that the new Maruti WagonR 2019 will be made available with two petrol and LPG fuel options. The CNG version of the hatch will come later.
The lower trims of the new Maruti WagonR 2019 will use the existing 1.0L, three-cylinder petrol motor that’s good for 67PS and 90Nm of torque. The mid-level and top-spec variants come with the larger capacity 1.2L, four-cylinder petrol unit generating 83PS and 113Nm. Maruti Suzuki has also confirmed that the new WagonR will be bigger than the outgoing model. The hatchback’s new-generation model will be 3655mm long, 1620mm wide and 1675mm tall with a wheelbase of 2435mm. That means, the vehicle will have more cabin and boot space to offer. The dual-tone (Beige and Brown) interior will feature premium seat upholstery, updated instrument cluster, steering mounted controls and a touchscreen infotainment system. With respect to safety, the new Maruti WagonR 2019 will get dual airbags, ABS with EBD, central locking, collapsible steering column and immobilizer as standard features. On the exterior, the new Maruti WagonR 2019 will get new front grille with chrome strips, large headlamps and fog lamp assembly, body-coloured ORMVs with turn indicators, C-pillar with black plastic insert and vertical X-Mas tree taillamps.
