The Bajaj Avenger 220 model lineup – Street 220 and Cruise 220 – will soon receive single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). Select dealers have already begun taking pre-bookings for the 2019 Bajaj Avenger 220 ABS variants. Deliveries, however, will be commenced in coming weeks. No changes will be made to its engine. The 2019 Bajaj Avenger 220 will continue to use the 220cc, single-cylinder engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It can deliver a top power of 19bhp at 8,400rpm and 17.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. It gets disc brakes at both ends along with the single-channel ABS.
Bajaj Auto will give a major facelift to its highly popular Avenger cruiser range in 2020. The updated model of the bike will see comprehensive upgrades along with a new engine. Reports suggest that the cruiser range will get a new BS6 ready powertrain. Besides this, the company will introduce the new-generation Bajaj Pulsar in 2020.
